The grounds of this medieval Gothic castle built on the turn of 13th and 14th cent. belong to the unique works of Czech castle architecture. Its important parts are formed by the ruins of the old Gothic Palace called Paradise House and the Putna Tower, these two parts are connected with a huge stone bridge. After 1395 the Czech coronation jewels were concealed at the castle. On the grounds you can see the brewery building, the rests of castle walls as well as farming buildings. Visitors can admire historical expositions, the Knights’ Hall and the audiovisual programme about the history and reconstruction of the castle.
